Chief Operating Officer

Arnoud has more than 22 years' experience in banking and financial markets and prior to becoming the COO in March 2021, was the CRO at Cboe Clear Europe since its inception in 2013, following the merger of European Central Counterparty Ltd and EMCF N.V. (EMCF). Prior to that, Arnoud was Head of Risk at Fortis Clearing Americas from 2001 to 2008, when he became the CRO of EMCF. Arnoud's product experience includes commodities, fixed income/interest rate and equity (index) derivatives and cash products.

Chief Technology Officer

Ed has over 25 years' experience across financial markets, management consultancy, retail, mining, engineering and telecommunications. Ed joined Cboe Clear Europe in 2019 to lead the launch of Equity Derivatives, and his responsibilities were expanded in August 2020 when Ed was appointed as the Cboe Clear Europe CTO. In March 2021, Ed became a member of the Management Board. Prior to joining Cboe Clear Europe, Ed spent 11 years at LCH Limited, where he became the COO for the ForexClear service in 2014, and previously was a management consultant at PA Consulting.

Chief Risk Officer

Owen became the Chief Risk Officer in July 2023 after joining Cboe Clear Europe in January 2019 as Head of Enterprise Risk Management with responsibility for operational risk, business continuity and recovery & resolution planning and served as interim Chief Risk Officer from November 2022. As Chief Risk Officer, Owen holds responsibility for the execution of Cboe Clear's risk framework across all risk types and is a member of the Extended Management Board. Prior to joining Cboe Clear Europe, Owen spent a number of years in risk management and regulatory change roles across the Australian, UK and European financial services industry.

Head of Commercial Development

Tim joined Cboe Clear Europe in July 2019 and has extensive financial markets experience having worked for the past 10 years in senior client relationship and business development roles in major financial institutions including LSEG and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Tim joined Cboe Clear Europe from LCH Limited where he was a Director and Head of Sales and Relationship Management for equities. As Head of Commercial Development at Cboe Clear Europe, Tim leads a team with responsibility for sales, relationship management, client services, marketing, and business development. His focus is on advancing and growing client relationships, generating new business and looking for opportunities to create new products and services that address clients' needs.

Head of Legal & Compliance and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)

Joris joined Cboe Clear Europe in April 2017. He leads the Legal & Compliance team and acts as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). His responsibilities include management of legal and compliance matters, regulatory engagement and acting as corporate secretary.

Before joining Cboe Clear Europe, Joris worked for 10 years in the Financial Markets division of ING Bank where he advised on (OTC) derivatives transactions, corporate and security law, securities services and custody related matters. Prior to obtaining a law degree from the university of Rotterdam, with a specialisation in banking and securities laws, Joris obtained a bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from the Arnhem Business School.

Senior Product Manager

Jan Treuren has over 29 years' experience in the custody, clearing and in the settlement industry. He started his career at ING Bank Securities Services within the Paying Agency and Custody department , followed by a 12 year career at Deutsche Bank Amsterdam, where he had various management roles in client services, sales, operations, product management and his last function as Country Head of Direct Securities Services for Netherlands, Belgium, France, Portugal and Dubai. Jan then moved to EMCF where he was responsible for Business Development and Strategy, and following the combination with EuroCCP became Head of Product & Change Management. In 2021, Jan became Head of Operations at EuroCCP NV, where he was responsible for settlements, derivatives, collateral, corporate actions and change management and more recently, became Business Owner of the Securities Financing Transaction clearing initiative as Senior Director Product.

Chief Financial Officer

Currently CFO of Cboe Clear Europe overseeing accounting, financial reporting, tax, capital, and financial planning activities. (started November 2021). Aaron joined Cboe as a Financial Reporting Manager in 2018 and was promoted to Director of Financial Reporting (later in 2018), overseeing all SEC financial reporting and financial reporting for numerous US and international entities and subsidiaries within the Cboe organization.

Prior to joining Cboe, Aaron was a Manager at KPMG LLP, focusing on audits of public companies within financial services. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the United States. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Kansas.

Head of Human Resources

Anneke joined Cboe Clear in 2017 and has been leading the Human Resources team since 2020. She oversees all HR functions, including employee relations, benefits management, organizational advice, and management development.

She has over 15 years of experience in commercial HR roles and human resource management in a broad set of industries. Before joining Cboe Clear, she held positions at Randstad, Tata Steel, and several smaller organizations.

Anneke’s work focuses on aligning people with business goals. Her mission is to place the right people in the right roles, enhance employee engagement, and support the company’s strategic objectives.
