Regulatory Status

Cboe Clear Europe is authorized as a central counterparty under the European Market Infrastructures Regulation (EMIR) on over-the-counter derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories.

Cboe Clear Europe is supervised and overseen in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB, the Dutch Central Bank) and the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).

Cboe Clear Europe is recognized as a non-UK CCP in the United Kingdom, which allows it to provide services to UK Clearing Participants and UK trading venues.

Cboe Clear Europe is recognized as a foreign central counterparty in Switzerland, which allows it to provide services to Swiss Clearing Participants and SIX Swiss Exchange AG.
